Bob Kocian - President

Bob has a life-long passion for homebuilding. He began working in the industry in 1961 and has dedicated his entire career to the pursuit of excellence in home design and construction. As one of the founding members of Riverdale Homes and Wilderness Homes, Bob has lead the company through 16 years of successful growth, developing a reputation along the way for honesty, integrity and an unsurpassed commitment to quality. He received a Master Builder designation in 1963. Bob, his wife and three of their children live in Canmore. When he's not in the office or at a construction site, you'll find Bob on the golf course or the ski slopes depending on the season.

 
Kyle Friesen

Kyle Friesen - Vice President

Kyle represents the third generation of successful homebuilders in the Friesen family. He learned the business from ground up, starting as a laborer with the Qualico Group of Companies at the age of 14, and earned his professional credentials with a Business Management diploma from SAIT in 1996. During his tenure as Development Manager at Today's Communities, Kyle was responsible for projects valued at over $50 million. Since joining Unity Builders Group in 1998, Kyle has been involved in all aspects of single family residential development, including project management, finance, accounting, sales and realty. His project portfolio includes townhomes, apartments, condos and refurbishments.

 
Peadar O'Riain

Peadar O'Riain - VP Operations

Peader's career in homebuilding began almost 30 years ago in Ireland where he was an apprentice carpenter and joiner. His skills and aptitude quickly brought him success, advancing him to Site Foreman and Project Manager in his home country. Peader immigrated to Canada in 1992, and worked as a carpenter until 1995 when he joined Riverdale as Site Superintendent. Peader has played an instrumental role in the growth and success of the company over the last 15 years, overseeing projects in Calgary, Langdon and Canmore. He is a registered Master Home Builder with the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta.
